2008-10-25 GCDSR

The October 2008 ride of the Gold Country Dual Sport Riders. Seventeen riders met at the intersection of Hwy 174 and You Bet Rd.

This month we explored the backroads between Hwy 20 and Hwy 49 north of Interstate 80 and east of Nevada City. We stopped for lunch at Bowman Lake and enjoyed what we brung.

This was a very good ride - although the roads were a little challenging in some areas, nobody had any real problems. Most of the excitement happened at a low, wet spot on Chalk Bluff Rd that resulted in a Mud Bath for several riders. Most of us avoided the challenge by taking the "dry road". The weather was nearly perfect - cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon with clear blue skies.
