Mike was our son Kevin’s father-in-law. He was a man of principle and a strong influence on Kevin’s life as well as Kyle’s life.
He was well known as a master mechanic and body man. He was generous with his time to anyone in need. At his funeral that was attended by hundreds of family and friends, there were many stories of his willingness to help, whether it was to travel hundreds of miles to fix a car, or drive someone 50 miles to a hospital to visit a stricken loved one. He was quite a fellow and is missed by many people.
His death was untimely and sudden. He was stricken at his home by heart attack with no warning at the age of 56 and was dead within minutes. It seems true, indeed – Only the good die young!
