Frances Anderson Stanley
Frances Anderson Stanley was my aunt, sister to my Mom. Although we weren't particularly close, we saw each other from time to time, mostly at family reunions and funerals and, on those occasions, we had good visits. One time stands out in my memory. Linda and I were returning from Canada on one of our many motorcycle trips to the Pacific Northwest. We were on our way to Hamilton, southbound on US 93 from Glacier Park. About 30 miles outside of Missoula, I began to experience some kind of abdominal pain that became more severe as we proceeded. When we hit Interstate 90, I could go no further and we stopped at a 4B's Restaurant for a break. When we walked through the door, guess who greeted us - that's right, Aunt Frances. Although we hadn't seen each other for many years, we each recognized the other. I believe this was the first time she and Linda had ever met and we had a nice visit while we had lunch and I recuperated. It seems like yesterday, although it must have been in 1986 or 1987.
Rest in Peace Aunt Frances
